    Howdy HTLers!
I'm looking for people who are interested in tabletop gaming. That includes anything from:
    • Pen & paper RPGs (D&D, Pathfinder, White Wolf Games, and so on)
    • Boardgames (Settlers of Catan, Monopoly, Mousetrap, Backgammon, Risk, etc)
    • Card games (Munchkin, Dominion, Ascension, Magic the Gathering, Poker, Spades, 52 Pick Up, etc)
    • Party Games (Pictionary, Apples 2 Apples, Scattegories, etc)
    • Word games (Boggle, Scrabble, and ummm... Scrabble...)
Just wondering if there's enough interest here on HTL for non-video game topics of discussion as well as a potentially covering such topics on the podcast.

I have a crapload of tabletop games. No, literally, a CRAPLOAD. Also, always wanted to do pen-and-paper RPG, but never could get a group together. Would do sexual favours if people would play with me.

Look at you with your boardgamegeeks profile! Nice collection too.

It's possible to play some games online either via Play-by-Post or using something like MapTools.

Yeah, I have a profile on several similar sites, e-peen has to be upheld, etc, etc.

I know, but how fun would it be?

I've been working in a gaming store for about eleven years before we had to shut down in 2008. So I'm not really up to date but always interested in discussions about "real" games :p

I played a bunch of pen & paper [(A)D&D, Shadowrun, CoC to name a few], had some fun with Magic: The Gathering (although Warlord: Saga of the Storm will always the best TCG of all times for me :D) and I still have a showcase where I have my Warhammer 40k and some other miniatures I've painted.

Board games I play when I have time: Zombies!!!, Munchkin, Descent, the Settlers of Catan card game and Drachenhort (a fantasy-based dungeon exploring game which has a single player mode ;))...oh, and I love Abalone if anyone knows that.

Play-by-Post is fun if you have a good DM and people who post often and write well. It becomes more of a shared novel. Maptools and other virtual table top game systems are good but best when you can play with friends.

So, basically, a more closely DMed forum RPG with actual RULES behind the actions of the characters. Thanks, but no thanks, I've tried those, and it's hella hard finding a group willing to stick to a schedule =(

Guess I'm still outta luck on that front.

Powergrid and Puerto Rico rock! I get together with my old gaming buddies every couple of months and we pull out a game a play. I wish I could play more often, but the two year old keeps me busy.

I might be interested, depending on my work schedule of course. :D

    I have:
    D&D 3.5 & 4th Editions
A good portion of the Heavy Gear RPG 2nd Edition Silcore and one 3rd Edition with d20 rules
A good portion of Jovian Chronicles
    And a few others I can't remember.

Please don't throw npc women at my character, its rather unhealthy. XDDD

Quick Q. Anyone ever seen any customizations for existing boardgames or PnP games into the MEverse? I somehow feel the HTL folks would enjoy having one available, even if it will be print-and-play.

I've only ever seen free form RPG though I guess you could easily adapt the Star Wars rules (d20 or Saga) using force powers as biotics and tech (Force Lightning = Overload, Force Push = Throw, Force Leap = Charge, etc). I'm not familiar with d20 Modern, but I imagine it and GURPs can be adapted as well.

Consider me interested in your game, though I'm quite busy for the next month.
