So Tali's Face, what do you think of the stock image?

Hmm, I liked the first one better- I am beginning to see what some people meant as far as Tali's appearance being a mystery and that being a good thing

When I saw the picture, at first I thought it was fine - just a tease - and since I ended the geth/quarian peacefully I thought I'd get an epilogue on Rannoch showing us her face. And then the ending slapped me in the face and the picture issue paled in comparison. But yes it seems Bioware got rather lazy or panicky as the release date closed in - and it shows.

We knew she wouldn't look too awfully alien. Glowing eyes, humanoid...you can see these simple things through her mask. And I seem to remember reading that Quarians are fairly close to humans genetically, so I had no problem with her look. But the whole stock photo thing bothers me, just like the Mac-wallpaper they used at the end. And I was hoping for the in-game reveal.

I was disappointed, though I have to admit I found it kind of funny at the same time.

I think it would have been smarter to keep her face a mystery.

Tali and colored nails?! this is so NOT tali, especilly in the suit... this is soooo irritating. The rest of the pic is so-so, not great but hey, no biggie either. it is what it is. but the nails... totally NOT.
I actually also find much better pics on deviant, the one posted on page 2 is also my fav.

and hey, I do not think Liz Sroka should be put down as "not hot". She looks quite cute (besides, she's taken, and mother and all anyway....). that is what Tali is supposed to be. she is no "miranda-type". Liz Sroka herself would have been a great choice IMO.

Agreed, it would be pretty jarring to see a supermodel under the mask. In general, I've always thought Mass Effect leaned too heavily on fan-service, but that's just my curmudgeonly opinion.

My opinion on whether we should have ever seen her changes... hourly. But take it from a guy who has put his due time in Photo Retouch Hell... lazy Photoshop is lazy. Especially when you've got a building full of excellent modelers, texture painters, environment artists and technical artists at the ready.

...not to mention articulators, light riggers, lighting artists...

As for Tali's face, maybe some intern trolled BioWare?

what ever the case, they should have run a comp for fans to design tali's face, some fan art out there is amazing.

They should use this fan art instead of some stock photo. This is my favorite Tali pic.

well the Codex said the are very similar to humans,, but i agree that one is a little too close

asari are similar as well but they also differ greatly, its what makes them so great in my book

i don't care if she looks like a human, it's her personality that counts the most I still like the picture above.

Yup, it's the person, not the appearance, that matters, just like in real life.
