I never was very good at navigating forums, so if this is misplaced, pleas don't waste a moment in deleting and moving :) I have provided the current draft of the FB page "Rumor Watch" for peer-editing and review.... you know, so we don't end up like certain individuals who may or may not work for Bioware.

The following is a list of common rumors circulating about the ME3 ending situation. Please do not make definitive statements concerning these topics here or elsewhere, for the sake of our credibility.

RUMOR ALERT: Mr. Weeks and Mr. Priestly have both denied the so-called "writer's leak". http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/10399933/7#10404248
RUMOR ALERT: Mr. Muzyka has only stated that there will be "closure provided". NO explicit mention of an ending change. http://blog.bioware.com/2012/03/21/4108/
RUMOR ALERT: The indoctrination theory, though remarkably well thought out and clearly evidencing a thorough analysis of the Mass Effect series, remains a “theory”. Recent evidence found in the “Final Hours” (SEE BELOW!) appears to “contradict” this account, and with no official notice from Bioware, cannot be viewed as canon or the certified intent of the writers.
RUMOR ALERT: The materials of the app “Final Hours” are not recognized as official correspondence by Bioware regarding their products. Please tread carefully. http://www.me3finalhours.com/

As always, please remain civil, especially in your dealings outside this wall (we have a great post that frequently circulates). You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

I'm glad you brought this here, I was hoping someone would. I don't know where the correct spot for this thread will be quite yet. So we'll keep it here until we know where it should be.

I know the Indoc is just a theory, but it's the only thing that explains the ending's plot-holes sufficently enough. I'll keep holding the line, secretly hoping they use this theory to explain everything.

However, it's been oversimplified. It's not Shep waking up "from a dream", it's her fighting an important battle against Harbinger himself. It sucks that it's still in the "rumor" and "unconfirmed" category, though.

@Lady InkWeaver. I would rather it be listed as a rumor and we all rejoice at our prescience when proven right then it be listed as fact and we all be discredited if never comes to pass.

Oh, of course! I completely agree. This is just how I feel personally. I would rather believe a rumor than a false fact.

If there was any rumor out there that has always seemed plausible to me, it was this "THE TRUTH DLC". The description and justification for it are highly logical, therefore I remain hopeful to see it come to fruition, even if it comes with a different name, like say ..."Take Earth Back DLC" o_O

That would be cool if the truth dlc was real. Guess we ll wait and see. I dont see bioware jumping the gun on anything, even if they alienate fans in the process (by waiting to announce anything.)

I can't help but think that while we're digging ourselves in for the long haul, so is BioWare. EA has been silent about this whole thing, haven't they? Just sent their lapdog IGN after us, and that hasn't proved to be very effective, now has it?

Well, to be fair, IGN's latest ME3 spoilercast was very much attuned to our battlecry.

Indeed. It's a jagged pill, isn't it IGN? Hating fans for having issues with their favorite series - the audacity!
Man, they'd have saved themselves the embarrassment by finishing the game before rating it.

And that is truly what it was all about. Finish the game, pay attention, be thorough, be informed and only then do you make a statement. If many dissenters had done this, there would be no dissent. Damn Geth Heretics ...always turning to the Old Machines, tsk tsk.

After the DLC "The Truth" , now the DLC "Terminator" ? Please don't set yours hopes very high ^^'. Without official confirmation from Bioware, they may ( probably/really) a fake ^^

    Every day I'm speculating.

It is too bad that you can not trust anything you hear on the net. I wonder what would happen if all the trolls just stopped to troll.

    ... *imagines*

bah! World peace s such a silly notion anyways.

Waiting is killing me. But the possibility that Bioware is one of the trolls just gives me hope.
