Yes!! Let's move this love over to Operation Letter Tsunami! That thread is looking pretty tiny. I think it needs a boost of positive support.

Just saw this in the BSN thread, I wounder if it had anything to do with us.

Did anyone else notice that they stopped updating their twitter feed on the front page last Friday?
It's back up now.... But not a single tweet from this protest showed up.

In retrospect, that's not surprising. Stuff we do is pretty much out there for everyone to see.

I'm back and trying to catch up on what has happened! I'm sorry I couldn't deliver big numbers to the cause. Feel a bit like I ran an ME2-style collector base assault and forgot a couple of loyalty missions, actually. What moves me is all the incredible support you've given me and each other throughout this process. Just now a lovely person from Italy asked if I had any more initiatives in mind so he (she?) could help with them, too. That's very humbling.

I wish the turnout had been a little higher, but blame myself for rushing this thing out. I'm heartened in a way that Bioware felt the need to take down their Twitter feed for a weekend. That means that we are more powerful than we know and they are taking us seriously, although they are still reacting inappropriately. A few people have suggested making On/Off a monthly thing, but I'm concerned it may not gain momentum. Also, I doubt we'd get media attention a second time for this.

So, thank you all, again and again for your amazing spirit. I'm ready to support the next initiative! (y)

I'm off to see if I've been banned at the BSN.

Don't worry, Jack and Jill were indoctrinated, beyond saving. At least you picked them to rescue Humpty Alexander Dumpty.

Good morning! I'm recovering from my 4 hours of sleep/night stints. The after actions report thread was very eye-opening. People who love SP and want to save it really suffered by playing it again, for which I'm sorry. I tried playing my favorite part (thinking "well, I'll still enjoy *this*, right?") and it was okay, but I just couldn't muster up much enthusiasm. I didn't care. And that's how a lot of people felt. Some did renegade actions they'd never have considered before. Some just hung out in the shooting range. Some wandered the Normandy. I haven't read the whole thread, but I haven't seen anyone say: "It was great and I've started wanting to play again." It's like all of us have been in a really intense relationship and now we've just "fallen out of love" with the game. Now we notice that autodialogue and unskippable cutscenes annoy us and we just want to shut the thing off. I hope Bioware really is paying attention, because this is a terrible omen for them.

What I actually liked was having my friends over to play and watching their enjoyment of the game. I want to do that again! Unfortunately, I don't think recruiting more lambs for the slaughter is a good tactic at this point. When the ending is fixed properly I'll look forward to playing with them.

    I'm sorry. Don't torment yourself!

I think the emotional pain many people feel when replaying SP precludes us from running On/Off again. After seeing how much people suffered to play this game the first time, I would feel terrible asking them to do it again. Plus many wouldn't be able to make themselves do it again.

I don't think so, I believe we'd do it again as show of solidarity more than anything else. As much as it works my nerves knowing we stand together makes it worth the effort!

I was one of the lucky ones. I didn't exactly suffer. Since it had been weeks since I'd played, it got a small amount of its freshness back for me. I still had no desire to play for too long or to touch the ending with a very long stick, but I set a goal in mind for the sections I wanted to play and I hit it with single minded determination. I actually managed to have some fun.

I played the Priority: Palaven and some side stuff. Palaven has some of my favorite moments from the earlier game; lots of great dialogue: "Like fish. In. A Barrel."

I put Bioware into the search also, to avoid hearing about people's aversions to... whatever turns them off, but you're right! #turnonme only had a few tweets that would also be found in the other two searches, but here are the Tweets from #turnMEon/#turnMEoff and #turnME3on/#turnME3off.

    https://twitter.com/#!/search/realtime/bioware AND #turnME3on
    https://twitter.com/#!/search/realtime/bioware AND #turnMEon
    https://twitter.com/#!/search/realtime/bioware AND #turnMEoff
    https://twitter.com/#!/search/realtime/bioware AND #turnME3off

I think we should reuse those hashtags in other campaigns. I am especially fond of #turnMEon. ;)

Also, I think the beautiful artwork that DrowVampyre and Lil One made should be reused somehow. I'm not sure how hard it is to change the text on them for other campaigns.

I would like to do something else to support singleplayer, but I don't want to do it at the cost of giving people an *aversion* to singleplayer. Maybe if there is support for running another event we could tell people just to leave the singlepayer menu on?

First, I think I should break down what worked and didn't work about the On/Off campaign, so we can learn from the experience. Also, I was thinking about putting together some of the tweets and posts from the after actions reports thread and sending them to Bioware. I'm not sure how to collect Tweets except as screencaps, though, and printing them out would rapidly destroy my printer. Anyone else have ideas?

Oh, I have ideas, but you don't want to hear them because they are so irrelevant that painting the Crucible with speed stripes makes more sense... o_O

But if anyone got any good ideas I will be there. And thank you, Shinobu. (y)

Hmm wonder if it's possible to track down the actual statistical data that the initiative created.

Edit. And I agree with Lil One on this great work @Shinobu.

    AWESOME work @Shinobu! (y)
I hope You use Your experience on next HTL initiative.. :)
And I think that one more round Turn ON/OFF, about 2 months later, is great idea. I hope mostly of us will be here still?

Got to say the Turn On/ Turn Off campaign was a great idea. I definitely though my support behind doing another one.

    Thank you so much!

Many people found playing SP painful, so I'm a little afraid doing it again is like asking people to poke themselves in the eye... twice. I don't want to give them an aversion to playing SP, but I would love a way to show our continued support for SP.
