Plaque campaign - Community Discussion

Okay! So I'm going to start pushing for our next campaign.

This will be a lot smaller, and shouldn't cost more than say, a thousand dollars after design, production and shipping potentially a good amount of plaques, and should cost significantly less.

The original idea was to do a plaque in honor of Marauder Shields. Have an etching of him, and have something along the lines of

"We Honor the Sacrifice of Marauder Shields.

The Shields, the Shepard and the Vakarian"

Now, the poll here is to determine if the plaque idea IN ANY FASHION something that we as part of the Retake community should undergo. The Marauder Shields idea is not final in any way, and just an Idea that I support. The point behind this thread is to find out if we want to attempt a plaque campaign at all, and to garner both interest and discussion on what specifically we should do.

I hope the entire creative team finds their way here and ads their two cents.
Not sure who in the team is good with drawing, or maybe we can contact and use some art already available on Deviant Art. Any ideas, please discuss here. I'll ask that if you don't agree with a specific idea, that you don't flame or attack their ideas. State your disagreement and move on with the discussion.

im all for a plaque, its direct, its a haunting reminder and its relatively cheap (in comparison to projects past)

we want them to understand how loyal we are AND see what they could lose, we don't want to beat them with the plaque. but its a good idea...maybe a sub note on the plaque?

Is there a way to implement the collage concept? Maybe fuse (with people permission) the collage of our group onto the plaque, and have it etched below, "WE will hold the line"

An maybe attatch a letter explaining our interest as a group of completely new endings.

I like the plaque format. It's a lot harder to charitably donate than cupcakes. I'll do some research into what you can get put on plaques and get back to you - that should help us a bit with brainstorming ideas. No point in settling on something until we know it's possible.

As far as Marauder Shields goes... perhaps koobarex would give us leave to adapt his marvelous comic Shields?

but in all seriousness the plaque is a good idea but what are we planning to do with it exactly?

Send them to the big bioware employees (Hudson, Walter, everyone else whose important) so they can hang it on there wall

It probably won't do much, but it gives our moment publicity which we sorely need.
