Plans of action.

    To make this short and to the point, I think we need a game plan if things so south (IE Bioware gives us more crap) at Pax. I'm willing to donate what I can to anything we come up with, and or coordinate things if need be. My semester in winding down and all I am going to be doing until July is grading/editing papers.

    So, I think we need to shoot some ideas around in case the worst comes to pass. I've heard some great ideas for a banner ad across the street from Bioware's office, as well as my own idea to start a larger ad campaign going.

    Again, if anything needs coordinating I can try and help to that end. The UCSD gamer's club (which I am co-head of) also offers it's support.

    I agree, this is really important. If we don't get what we're hoping for then I see some chaos ensuing. People will be disillusioned and even more hurt than already. Seems like good sense to have some incentives in place to keep the group focused, positive and constructive.

    There's a lot of talk of HTL merchandise. I've been looking at how we'd make HTL t-shirts and there are some sites that offer decent deals (like around $6 per shirt if you order 12). I'm just a bit rubbish at designing them on those little mock-ups they give you. Keeping prices really low means more chance of people buying them.

    We could also start to write to people and ask them to support us by whatever means - advertising us, writing positive articles about us - though I'm not sure exactly who we could convince :p

    Oh that's a wonderful idea! I would definitely throw some money at that! At least what I have left after my school expenses.

    Another ideal that I think we should really try and push is unification of this movement. We have a lot of talented and amazing people on our side, and I think we need to unify them together if PAX goes south. I think we at HTL should be coordinating with the Retake FB page to try and do this.

    Unfortunately it's proving really difficult to contact the FB guy. I dunno if I should really be saying it - I don't want to sound ungrateful to him for getting the page going or make it sound like we don't support each other - but he doesn't really seem to acknowledge anything else that's going on. He's been asked many times if he would link HTL and some of the resource sites, and he either ignores those requests or says no thanks. He's setting up his own website and won't confer with us. It's frustrating :(

    I'll have to try and Paragon him then, I'm pretty good at that kind of stuff. If not, that's really unfortunate, we should all be working together!
