Okay, ever since we started the trend of doing the #FindMiranda hashtag, an idea came to mind. Someone suggested we send a banner to BioWare, but I wasn't leaning towards it. However, I thought of creating a poster of Miranda a la 'Missing In Action.' So I asked a friend @renownedshoplifter of mine to lend her awesome photoshop skills for this to happen. I believe that this stays true to the spirit of #FindMiranda and our overall goal.

So the plan is to send the tarpaulin to BioWare and if it proves too costly, then we can raise funds through a chip in site and with the help of both my HTL and BSN friends. Attached below is the draft of the poster, so it is not the final output. I just wanted to give you guys an idea of what I was aiming for so that we can all brainstorm as early as now.

EDIT: Plan to add burn marks and make it look destroyed-ish.

I was thinking of putting a well-written impassioned plea by Shepard imploring people to help him find Miranda.

With those words, I marched unto our final push towards the Reapers. There was no guarantee that the Crucible would work and our odds of success are minimal compared to the enemy’s. However, I pushed myself into the depths of uncertainty as I held on to one absolute. An absolute in form of a promise to Miranda Lawson, the woman I loved, that I would make it through this chaos and find her.

I had promised to find her. But I had to make a choice between keeping that promise and saving the fate of the entire galaxy-including Miranda’s. I thought of holding her once more, and the sight of a smile creeping on her face among other haunting, vivid memories. Yet, I would trade all those memories if it meant giving her a chance to live a normal life without the Reapers. Her life was worth more than anything in the world. As the Citadel fell apart around me, I whispered, “Goodbye Miranda, I’m sorry.”

However, Fate decided otherwise. I awoke in a pile of rubble, bruised and bloodied beyond recognition. Earth was shattered, yet I felt hope as the rays of the sun touched my skin with a warm radiance of a new beginning. I felt the heat of Miranda’s touch amidst the basking glow. Every day since then, I anticipate each sunrise for a ray of hope that one day I would fulfill my promise. The battle is not over, until I find her. Until I find Miranda.

MIRANDA FANBOOK

Hello everyone! I'm doing this in behalf of the Miranda Lawson thread, myself included, in an advocacy to encourage more content for one of our beloved characters. We all know that one of the reasons we've gathered here as a community is due to our love for the characters BioWare created. So even if you are not a fan of Miranda, I hope that won't hinder you from helping out in this great initiative!

I urge everyone else to create initiatives for your favorite characters so that we can provide the constructive feedback BioWare has asked us to give.

Goal: To showcase the many facets of Miranda Lawson

This is a tribute book for us, the fans, and for Bioware, the developers. People like Miranda for a lot of different reasons, and we want to capture all of that variety in the book. Also, we often argue that the character's complexity was not showcased in ME3, so we would like to showcase it here.

Obviously, we would like to encourage Bioware to make more Miranda content. But regardless of whether they do or not, we want to leave this behind at Bioware headquarters as a permanent statement. Let's talk about what was right and what wasn't; what we loved, and what we didn't. An electronic copy will be made available to all.

Deadline: Wednesday, May 30th, 2012.

Rationale for the deadline:

-This is likely to be a one-time statement. We want everyone to have time to complete their submissions.

-We want to leave enough time for those who are very busy with exams over the next week or two.

-On the other hand, we want the book to be ready relatively soon.

This deadline is final. We have left quite a bit of time, partly so that the date does not have to be changed. I will be working to get the book ready to print very quickly after the deadline.

FAN ART

We would like to include a wide variety of fan art. Keep in mind that the book will be printed in 8.5" X 11" format, which is standard paper size. So, you may want to keep that in mind when creating images.

We have a lot of beautiful fan art already, so I can't wait to see what else you all will come up with

Here is an outline of what a typical letter might include:

FAN FICTION

Fan fiction, including excerpts and dialogues, should really help us capture the variety and complexity of the character as viewed by her fans. For excerpts especially, feel free to include an "author's note" at the beginning to explain why you chose that particular piece.

Page range for text submissions:

The usual length of letters ranges from one paragraph to several pages. It's up to you. A short letter can be very effective, as can a longer letter. Typically, fan fic submissions range from one to four pages.

We have a lot of great contributions already, and I can't wait to see the final product!

maybe you could also make her face look a little worse for wear. you know, dirt streaks, maybe a bruise.

I'll start spreading this around on DeviantArt in Miranda pictures and I'll write a journal. We can use all the help we can get. I sure hope this pays off in the end!

Even though I was mostly neutral towards Miranda over the course of ME2, she did grow on me quite a bit over the course of several playthroughs. She was totally badass during the assault on the Collector's base. I definitely think she deserves better treatment in ME3 and was a bit bummed out that she and Jack didn't get permanent spots in the squad.

I love Jack too! Btw, we will be making a Miranda and Femshep poster too (as friends of course)

Very nice! I like the idea! If you add burn marks and whatnot that would be really cool. Make it dirtier, I think that would look great! If you need any help let me know, although I don’t know what I could do... you’ve seen my drawing skills.

Right now translating this to russian - bear cavalry is searching for Miranda as well :]

Just make sure that this deos not cause another conflict, because we were all given a order last month not to cause any more problems for both EA and Bioware. If we need to make this operation sucessful, we need to do it poperlty and right without adding more fuel to the fire and fire is big enough as it.
