[OOC - This part will play out with the interrogation of the Krogan. I'm going to wait till the ship issues are solved before having the interrogation begin since everyone should be involved with it. During the interrogation, I would like everyone to have one...I don't know....question. Wait for the reply. Then follow up response. It a reply to the follow-up is appropriate, I will give it. If not, move onto the next one.

After that. Fallout from everything revealed!]

One more OOC note: I sent this as a private message when I should have posted on here. Yep. Wasn't thinking.... While we are waiting. I'd like to ask a favor. I want to know who do you think was behind the various attacks and why. Since this is all an interactive process, I'd like to retroactively reinterpret the justifications behind the attack. I'll try to work everything together nicely (can't promise I'm talented enough to weave it all together), but I think it would be cool get get as much additional feedback on what you all believed occurred! So feel free to send me a message so I can be sure your character's past history would have helped influence the fight (if that's what you want) :)

[Edit: added a couple more bullet-points]
[OOC: The description of this may change slightly, depending on how the Eris's systems are repaired, and the order they are repaired in :D]

A day passes after the events at the Citadel and the Eris is within the mass relay system, with a course plotted towards Argos Rho. Inside the ship is not as peaceful, as the crew is still trying to put pieces together from the ambush. Who attacked them? Why did it happen? What damage was done to the Eris? Who was the intended target? So many unanswered questions. And only one being had the answer.

    The Krogan.

    Scene opens up.
    • Location: Rec Room (probably much to Aashe's chagrin
    • Who is there: Everyone (Jarvis is fully operational)
    • What is happening: Questioning and interrogating the Krogan.
    • How: Up to you.
      • Paragon and Renegade options for pushing the Krogan?
    • Why aren't I giving setting the box text: Because you all are far more talented than I am, so I would rather let you describe it while providing enough information to set the scene.

    ((Since everyone was not it'ing))

Aashe was displeased. Sure, her face was impassive - which was a feat, considering how much nervous energy she'd just expended. The Angry Krogan was still on the ship, and she was rather certain that torture and eventual death may be on the menu. Neither thing made her very happy.

Still, the only way to win at cards, is to learn to play the hand you have.

She stood in the doorway to the rec room, her expression and stance as neutral as possible. A person adept at reading emotions might see the anger in her eyes. She turned to Corwin ((I'm assuming by this point, he's here.)) her lips set in a thin line. "How did you plan on gleaning the information from this Krogan? They're not exactly known for caving to torture."

((Depending on his answer, Aashe would want to suggest a bribe - she'd be willing to pay the Krogan herself, if it would keep the Krogan from being tortured - and buy her the chance to drop him off on some world rather than spacing him out of an airlock.))

[OOC: I felt the love with the not its. ]

Corwin volunteered to stand guard over the Krogan while everyone else slept. Despite Astila's biotic barrier, Corwin's mind was not at ease. His mind raced, trying to figure out some way to make this work. Krogans are mercs at heart. Maybe credits will reach him. Damn it. He leaned back against the wall and ran his right hand through his hair while keeping his eyes locked on the Krogan.

"How did you plan on gleaning the information from this Krogan? They're not exactly known for caving to torture."

Corwin was so lost in thought, he didn't notice Aashe standing there until this exact moment. He didn't bother hiding his surprised look. Rather, he nodded towards her while pushing himself off the wall. Corwin walked towards the barrier containing the beast.

"Good question, Aashe," he replied. "We need answers about what is going on. But no. We are not going to torture him. He was hired by someone to do a job. I'm not in the habit of hurting or killing mercenaries."

He looks towards Aashe with a slightly serious expression.

    "Professional courtesy."

He relaxes slightly in his stance, looking back again at the barrier between him and the Krogan.

"Professional courtesy? Is that what it's called?" Asked Othic as he came up behind the two of them. He was freshly showered and was relieved to see the Krogan had not broken free in the middle of the night. Although the fact he had not been murdered in his sleep was proof enough of that.

"If you're not getting the information physically, then how? Intimidation will not work. You could try and give him money and leave him on the next planet we come upon but then there's no guarantee that he won't come back after taking your money, gunning for revenge."

"Should have left him on the docks but....it's your show." He conceded to Corwin. "I just don't know how you're going to get the info you're looking for."

Aashe watched Othic approach. She was glad to hear him say he thought the Krogan should have been left on the docks as well. Obviously, she agreed. In the time between, she'd taken her own chance to change, and shower. (I wasn't sure how much time had passed.) She wore soft black pants tucked into her favorite boots, and she still wore her favorite thigh holster and pistol. She paired that with a loose, low cut, sleeveless dark green top, which offered her a nice freedom of movement (and, she thought, accented her figure nicely).

"I'm in for the bribery attempt." Aashe said, in response to Othic's thoughts. "Good Cop, Bad Cop. I don't know if this Krogan has heard of me, but if he has - he'll know I generally abhor killing. It should be an easy sell from there to make out the Psychotic Biotic as our... unhinged.... bad cop. I'll be able to sell the idea convincingly from there - I think."

"If you're going to do the Good Cop, Bad Cop routine; the Barrier will need to come down. What if the Krogan goes berserk and tries to hurt someone or fight his way out." Othic asked looking through to where the prisoner was being kept.

"I know Aivar has strong biotics but the Krogan almost killed him last time. We'd need the rest of us to be armed and ready to take him down should the situation take a turn for the worse."

[OOC - WOW! I didn't put down when this was happening! Sorry, sorry, sorry!!!!!! I imagined this taking place after everyone had time to settle down. Since time flow was always relative in Mass Effect, however long it would have taken for your character to settle down and relax.]

((I'll piggy back on that then - if anyone wanted to have side conversations, their own rooms aren't bugged or anything, Aashe values the privacy of her guests. And Jarvis would be more than happy to tell anyone on the ship where anyone else is. Prior to Aashe coming downstairs to deal with the Krogan issue, she'd be able to be found in the Cockpit, making sure her baby was okay.

It can be assumed that everyone is shown to a room, and told that before they leave Widow, Aashe can send messages to a secured Comm Buoy in that system - so everyone should feel free to send messages "home" if they want to.))

[Fair enough. I haven't had that much experience in these games (two of them...last one the GM micromanaged everything and killed the fun for everyone...but I noticed a lot of private conversations happened through private messages / e-mail / etc)...so if everyone wants, we can play out private conversations for a day or so, then continue. It's cool with me, since I don't want to micromanage this and would rather work with what everyone wants.

((It's all good! That's why I initially didn't post what Aashe was dressed in. I assumed it was happening fast - but when Myn put some time frame in there, I went ahead and jumped on it. We can make a separate "downtimes" thread if you like. I know (for me anyway) the best part of RP is the time to get to know the other characters. You know, walk around the crew and ask "Just getting a sense of where the crew is at, thoughts?" :D ))

[I believe the RPing in 2.5 is starting to wind down....so let's try to re-approach part three again :) Let's say we will get this going tomorrow around 8 pm CST? If you want to start earlier, that's cool. I will be online at that time, which is why I threw it out there. Unless there is protest and a strong desire to wait another day?]

[finishing up soon, but work off strange times and have work early so will post when i can]
[pre coded actions: if someone could work this into there post...kreiger would mainly be pacing frantically,Astila may try to comfort or calm him as he will be in a fit of rage (may punch krogan if necessary) wondering why his client had come aboard (ill fill in why he wanted kreiger dead when i post) kreiger can chime in at any time as to the bombs (which he will have no clue about) and may even accuse Corwin for setting up this job as a way to knock off some high value targets (those not involved directly are considered collateral as a way to mask the job better, reinforcing kreigers cold shoulder towards humans) short of that, i will cover the rest when i can]

[If we do take it up at 20:00 Central Time, (2am with me) I'll be missing for quite a large chunk of the start. Probably won't get a reply in until about 18:00 my time on Friday. Think that'd be Noon on Friday for you guys on Central time in the states.

If that does happen, just assume Myn is standing there, arms crossed, probably frowning.]

Aivar woke up, feeling pain all over 'his' body. Yesterday must have really just been bad. 'His' back felt awful where the Krogan had slammed 'him' into a wall. 'He' took a deep breath, knowing it was going to hurt, but 'he' needed to clear 'his' lungs. 'He' sat up and streched, and was rewarded with more pain. 'He' got out of bed, and went directly for the bottle of painkillers on the desk. Thank the Spirits that these things existed. Swallowing one dry, 'he' went over to the creates and opened one and got a set of clothes out. Stripping down and getting dressed again quickly with a white tanktop, a gray vest, black leather gloves that went up to half way 'his' upper arms, light gray jeans, and black belted boots. 'He' then looked in the mirror in the bathroom and was shocked to find that over night 'his' silver hair had dried wavy. 'He' went to 'his' personal belongings on the side of the bed and brought out a comb, and brushed through it, but it was no use. Water didn't help either. Irritated, 'he' walked out of the bathroom again and threw the comb onto the bed and started to walk down to one of the Kitchens, the larger of the two.

Whoever would run into 'him' would find 'him' in a bad mood.

[edited to credit Othic and Aashe for saving Corwin]

Corwin looks between Aashe and Othic with a look of determination and weariness.

"It looks like you two have it well in hand." Corwin tries to sound confident and forceful, but in reality, he has been awake for way too long. Standing guard over a Krogan, even a secure one, is physically and mentally exhausting. And Corwin just hit his limit. He quickly braces himself against the wall with his muscular left arm, trying to stop himself from stumbling, but failing

Fortunately, years of training and lightning reflexes saved Corwin, as Othic and Aashe caught Corwin before anything truly horrible would happen.

"Thanks," Corwin mutters before losing consciousness.
