Honestly, yes. I think the people who modeled certain characters should be the characters, if unavailable then someone who resembles them.
Milla jovovich would probably fit femshep pretty well.
Yvonne strahovski really does HAVE to play miranda, if they make a number 2, even though miranda is a bit more chesty than she is.
Helen Mirran for chakwas, most definitely fits, she even sounds similar, although would they put her in the skintight science uniform?.
I think Jeremy Irons should be in it too, possibly as as Rear Admiral Michalovich or possibly hackett, not sure. I just think all films with him in them are enhanced.

I'm absolutely against Mila- she's been in took my things- too recognizable to other franchises.
Shep & Femshep should be less well known or unknowns.

IF as in if they use these characters at all, which they've voiced very strongly may not be the case. There's lots of talk that the movie won't even be about Shep, but rather randomly set in the mass effect universe w/ entirely different characters & plot

Unknowns...thats a good idea really, be a bit representative of the whole character creation by using someone previously unseen.
Finding someone who could actually act would be a bit of a challenge, but certainly doable, someone who has at least played the games could probably do it the best. Hell, you could be femshep, if you can act.

Randomly set in ME...No old favourites...
I don't think i'd watch it then, i read that it would be about the events of ME1, which if they stuck to the main plot missions, they could get done. But if its just something random, i don't think i would, the phrase "I'm Commander Shepard and Wtf is this shit" comes to mind.

I can totally see Mila as Femshep. For a model, she can play a badass character like a pro.

They already announced that they will use Male Shepard and it will be based on the first game.
