ATTENTION!!!!!

I'm working on a new, collaborative project for spreading the word about #ForOurLI and the various projects. @sarah_ann_mann came up with a brilliant idea of doing a "Flat Stanley" type of project, where we post pics of the different LI's in various parts of the world. I took this great idea and hit the ground running, but I'll need help from as many fans as possible to make this work!

The Idea:

• Every few/several days, I'll post new "postcard" style pics of the different LIs in different locations around the world. We want to try and keep things personalized, so instead of picking random locations I need info and pictures of different places where fans of particular LIs come from/currently live. (more on this below!)
• I'll make a large world-map to track the progress of each LI as they make this fictional journey and post pics here, on the Facebook page and Twitter.
• Eventually, as each individual LI project is sent out to Bioware, the LIs "Flat Stanley"-esq journey will end in Edmonton, Alberta.

UPDATE: So there was some interesting discussion about this idea on the #KaidansWaiting thread. Someone asked how we'd be physically sending out these postcards and if we'd be using the same site people used for Operation Letter Tsunami. THUS FAR, my plan is to keep this purely as an internet campaign/promotional. There are currently a lot of ChipIn pages up as different projects try to get together the money to send out their posters/fanbooks/etc. Trying to physically send each postcard to Bioware might get a bit expensive whereas keeping it all to the webz is happily cost effective. If people REALLY want to send make these pictures into real postcards and send them out then please do discuss it below and we'll see if anything comes of it. But for now I'm basically playing 'Flat Stanley' 'Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego' with Kaidan, Miranda, Tali, Liara and Garrus.

What You Can Do:
1. Please send me (ShyGravel) a PM with the following:

• Your RL location (this doesn't need to be specific, not looking for addresses here)
• Pictures of landmarks/locations in your city or country/province/state. (Large pictures are easiest to work with. Always easier to shrink a pic down if need be than try to make it bigger)
• If you happen to know how to photo edit, feel free to make your own picture and post it on your LIs thread or PM it to the OP there. They'll get in touch with me. (again, Garrus and Tali fans, just PM me!)

UPDATE:We're starting to reach the wrap-up point for a few of the LI projects. To that end:

• GARRUS: We're no longer accepting new locations for our fave turian. I'll let you know if this changes!!!
• KAIDAN: Locations are all filled up for the Major now! I'll let everyone know if this changes!
• LIARA: I'll accept TWO more locations for the Shadow Broker!
• THANE: I'll accept TWO more locations for our fave drell.
• TALI: #MoreTimeWithTali should be sending posters to Bioware at the end of this week, so this will probably be the first set of postcards to end.
• MIRANDA: The folks over on BSN in the #FindMiranda group are going to be handling these themselves with a bit of a different twist. So if you're a Miranda fan, be sure to check them out! When they send me what they make I'll post them here so people on HTL can spread them around as well if they like.

The above will bring us to about June 20th for final locations BEFORE Bioware (with the exclusion of Tali who is heading out sooner). I've worked this out on a schedule of releasing a new set of cards every Wednesday/Thursday and Sunday/Monday. If it looks like some of the LI projects won't be sent out until well after that date I'll extend a call for more locations. Thanks!

2. The different folks in charge of each LI initiative will keep me updated with new locations/pics.
3. Spread the word, please!

Also, if by some chance there's someone with brilliant Photoshop skills, free-time and the desire to help out, please contact me. Right now we've got me with my amateur paint.Net flailing. It's not horrid, but it's pretty damned basic.

How come nothing for Ashley? I stayed true to her throughout the series. Or is there something already that I am unaware of?

There's nothing in the works for Ashley, no. However if it's something you're interested in, please feel free to start a thread in the 'War Room' section of the forums! If something gets organized, let me know and I'll happily add it to this thread. All of these initiatives were started individually/by small groups of fans. #forourLI is a collective for all the separate projects to help promote the different initiatives.

*Bump* An update to the Where Is Your LI project!

What the fuck? You guys forgot that THane was an LI TOO?!?!?!?! We've been working on our fanbook for the last three months, were the first to start up such a project, and our page designer was the one coordinating with the other groups for the page designs we used. Thane needs as much help as any of the others do, regardless of whether you think he should have died or not.

Why are you guys forgetting about him too? That now is just NOT FAIR!

Massively disappointed and incredibly saddened...

Saint Basil's Cathedral! Thanks, Noel, I did a brief web search to try and find out the proper name and, obviously, failed. That image was meant to be a prototype only, unless there's an actual Liara LI fan in Moscow *eyes* Are you a Liara LI fan? If so I'll definitely make corrections to it! Either way, looking forward to more pics!!!

First: I'm sorry you felt the lack of a Thane initiative on this thread was a deliberate slight. Please believe me when I say that is in no way the case! I'm quite fond of Thane myself and know several others here on HTL who are as well.

Secondly: There's an misunderstanding at the root here and I'd like to clarify it, not just to you, mythlover20, but to others who have mentioned the lack of various other LIs in initiatives. #forourLI is NOT an LI operation in and of itself. As in: #forourLI is not a group looking to send Bioware any form of appreciation, be it posters, fan books, etc. Instead, this thread was created to facilitate collaboration between existing LI initiatives on HTL in a predominantly promotional capacity. It's the different parties involved in the different LI projects collaborating to help spread the word about all the HTL LI operations.

In no way are any of us attempting to exclude any LI or fave character of any fans. Many of us have more than one favorite LI. Most of us at the very least have various fave characters and appreciation for other LIs. We wouldn't be looking to help each other out if that wasn't the case.

If you don't see your LI on this thread, please understand the following:

• It's NOT a slander or prejudice against your LI.
• Each LI initiative must be created by respective fans on a separate HTL thread in the War Room sub-forums.
• It is up to each individual project to hash out all the details of that particular initiative.
• It is not the intention of the #forourLI thread to search every social site, fan site, etc for every existing Character/LI fan initiative out there. While it would be wonderful if that could happen, it would also be a lot of time consuming work. And we're all pretty busy trying to juggle our own projects, let alone whatever responsibilities and hobbies occupy our RL hours.
• That being said: NO LI project will be turned down from inclusion to this thread and I'm sure most of us will be happy to help spread the word. We're a pretty helpful and supportive bunch all around, but we aren't superhuman - we can't handle everything on our own.

So if anyone would like to get a new project going for other LIs - Thane, Ashley, Jack, Jacob, Kelly, Steve, Samantha - please start a new thread in the War Rooms. Coem up with a unique hashtag the project will go by. Get fellow fans together to hash out ideas for what to send to Bioware and get the ball rolling. Then please contact me and I'll be more than happy to add the new information to this thread.

This is the #SaveThane – For an option Campaign - which was originally started as a poster project by BSN user Squegee83. Like the Thane fanbook group, it also houses several other projects which are currently WIP.

I was discussing the joining of #SaveThane in the #forourLI movement with the creator of the #FindMiranda project, and since I’ve yet to receive an answer, I figured it couldn’t hurt posting here on behalf of the Thane projects. If there is something that needs to be known before we join up please shoot me a PM either here or at BSN (same username as here).



And since myth mentioned it, yep I’m the one who made layouts for the character fanbooks (Thane/Miranda/Jack/Jacob/Samara), and since I read that the Garrus fanbase is making one too, I’d like to say that I’m more than willing to provide a layout for you guys as well. Whomever is responsible for the Garrus fanbook can shoot me a PM.

(If there are other character fanbooks in the works just let me know, and I’ll wip something up for you too)
