Yes, Rannoch was a strong part of the game and arguably, the hardest choice of the game and the WAS no out. OK - you could save BOTH the geth and the quarian but you always lose either Tali or Legion. The first time I went in there, that was whole scene was tense - granted Tali and Legion were friends but that just makes it more poignant when he dies.

Honestly, follow up on all the stuff the game gave you was expected. The storytelling convention is show, don't tell but the gaming convention is do, don't show (or tell). Doing stuff with a combined geth/quarian squad where an armature DROPS from the previously dreaded geth dropship?

It just keeps bringing the question of how Dragon Age: Origin got it all so right and ME3 got it all so wrong - oh, right - rEApers!

I went looking for the dream sequence version of the 'leaving earth' theme and came across this: - man there's some scary ass Reaper sounds during the dream sequences. Hope, hope, hope that IT is true. Was listening to the files Noelemahc uploaded and they still have their emotional impact. Somehow my mind has managed to divorce them from the ending.

Good find. Looks like more locked multiplayer content to be unlocked at a later date.

Why the crap was this cut? The total and complete lack of geth was a real issue for me.
It makes no sense. People LIKE the geth..
    Plus it sounds cool!

Added a few bits to the OP, the biggest being: there are files for the Prothean Beam Rifle for multiplayer in the Rebellion DLC. The full set of them, too, meaning it's one patch away from being added to the arsenal.

...Seriously? Won't that make it ridiculously easy? You never run out of ammo. Everyone would carry one, except maybe infiltrators.

A few more bits and pieces for you:

    The game's "endgame" states:

Which the game then submits to EA/Bioware (this is part of the SP code here):

Don't forget. MP weapons are balanced VERY differently from SP weapons. In MP, a level one Crusader with low-level upgrades can kill most things with a single shot even on Gold. In SP, a level five Crusader with maxed out upgrades can have difficulty killing a single shieldless Geth Trooper on Insanity.
In SP, the Eagle is a useful SMG replacement. In MP... well, you probably know yourself.
In SP, the Black Widow is an "I WIN" button. In MP... not so much.
In SP, the Avenger sucks balls. In MP, it's a valid combat option.
Wow. Well, that tells us everything we wanted to know about the endings. Funny how "live to fight another day" is a separate tag from "Reapers Destroyed, Earth OK, Shepard Alive".

I did not know that, i only have played MP for about a week. Black widow is an i win gun...for sure. I still found the avenger lacking in MP. I don't know how you would balance something that is a laser that never runs out of ammo.
Also harmony of man and machine. That is not what synthesis means to me. Not at all. Fundamentally altering that state of being of every life form in the galaxy is not harmony.

"Have the Reapers tried to contact you again?"
"They made an attempt. We rejected it."
"Today, the Geth fight to secure our future. We will not relinquish our sentience. There will be no more compromise with the Old Machines."

"Hope our guys haven't been taking shots at you."
"Allied fire has been minimal. Your military commanders brief their soldiers extensively on Geth-Organic cooperation."

-> This part of dialogue is actually in the game.

    0:15 ~

According to uploader, conditions for this dialogue are as follows : Geth saved, Quarian extincted.

Has anyone had this achievement? I don't see it anywhere amongst the list of actual achievements....

Maybe silently fixed in one of the patches? Last time I got to the FOB with the Quarians dead was before 1.02, and there was no Geth there.
The Striker, for 25 omniblade kills.

I'm sorry. I don't know what patch makes it possible. Actually, I've never seen this dialogue during my campaign. I just found this video in Youtube. I always choose to save Geth and Quarian, since I don't like to kill whole race even in game after all.

Ugh. There always seems to be so much missing if you save them both. Thanks for that video.
I've never seen that dialogue either, i also never saw the geth fleet coming through the relay. Its kinda dumb.

YOu only see their fleet if they are the only ones to survive, sadly. All you get if you saved both is a quick pan view of the Geth Prime Prime on the bridge of their ship when Joker says they zapped in, and that's it. NO MORE MENTION OF GETH IN THE ENTIRE FSCKING ENDING.

Also, even if Mr. Prime appears in the "Quarians are dead" outcome, there are lines for him for the Peace on Rannoch outcome too, and I'm certain he never appeared for anyone in that case.

You only see the Geth fleet come in if the Quarians are dead? That is honestly so stupid.

Re. Prothean Beam Rifle - what weapon are we talking about? I don't recall a weapon in SP that didn't run out of ammo besides the one in the Geth consensus? Is that the one?
