The Deep Breath Before The Plunge.

Blog entry posted by Gmandam, Jun 25, 2012.

Even now time ticks down to the EC, for me personally it's 9 hours away at time of writing. However if you'd paid attention you'll notice a new atmosphere, one of trepidation, fear, hope, happiness, hate and sadness all rolled together. Everyone can tell now, that after that EC things are going to change and they are going to change rapidly.

So what's the purpose of this blog I here you ask, well it's three fold.

First of all I'd like to thank you for being one of the best communities I've ever been a part of, the way you've conducted yourself, the way you've made me feel, it's like no other place on the internet has been. So thank you, my brothers and sisters in arms, for fighting this too the end and wherever else this fight may lead us. Thank you all, and while some of you may leave and others may stay, I'll state now that each and everyone of you has been the most awesome people on the internet.

The second part is this, what ever happens with me3, whether we all accept the EC as is (Judging by now it would seem to fail to meet the majority of expectations) or rise up again and continue to fight, I'd like to remind that HTL is more than just ME3, it's more than one company. It's about the entire game industry, everything that was brought up during the course of the last 3 months is still going on, Day one DLC is still happening, Disk locked content is still happening, Cutting story content for DLC and more is still happening, the reviewers are still too friendly to be completely unbias, over hyped games with massive issues are still being ignored.

All of that and more is still going on, and personally speaking I think it's about time we told them "No", that we don't want a story stripped of content to be sold back to us at a later date, we don't want useless additions to a game that only serve to dilute the experience. We are in short, tired of being treated like we should be the people thankful to them for being able to buy their games.

Finally remember how ever the EC turns out, that we should continue to treat each other with the same respect and politeness that ,hopefully , is our trademark. That we continue to be the same awesome community we always have been.

I wish you all the best of luck in future Endeavours and hope to see you after the EC.
