This area of gaming will always have a special place with me, which started all the way back at Tenchutealth Assassins. Though that series eventually became stale and died out
(Tenchu Z was a moderate improvement with co-op)other games, with the same aspect of lying in wait for the perfect moment to strike, have been released over the years to help fill that gap: Velvet Assassin, Splinter Cell(early versions), Metal Gear Solid, and Assassin's Creed(stealth MP was fun in the later games).
I even enjoyed games that had stealth just as an option(Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Chronicles of Riddick, Turok), though not heavily centered on it. I would sometimes like to just sit and weigh my options of what direction to strike from, as to get the timing right so I wouldn't be discovered by the other guards and the alarms sounded.
Really exciting and rewarding aspect to me. I really hope more games continue this play style, even if just as an option.
End of general rambling. Anyone else have a fav stealth game or at least one you liked?
