It's been a busy day today, I've been out and about in the Olympic park watching the hockey (Yeah I know, it was all I could get). It was a really good experience, of note was the trains, the size of the park, the surfaces and finally the food.
The trains were of a new variety, ones that were really quick, almost 200 mph. These trains so far only service the greater area of london and maybe between london and Edinburgh. The trains were cool, spacious (Yes I was able to sit down in comfort) and most important they were on time. All of this lead to a easy trip into the park, this made it easy to find parking.
The park was also massive, I mean you were looking on average a 40 minute trip from one end of the park to the other, and it really felt massive as well. It made the trip there all the more interesting as it added to the sense that was really worth it.
A odd thing to note but the surfaces of the general park area varied massively, from simple gravel to some sort of foam surface, it was odd to walk on such different and varying urban surfaces.
The food is where it really shines, the food comes from all over with british dishes such as fish and chips (very very nice) to oriental dishes such as noodles. All of this makes the park feel alive with so many peoples and cultures mixing together.
Ultimately it was a really nice day to go visit the Olympics. It was amazing to see and experience and I hope to go again.
Olympic thougts.
