My problem with DLC.

Blog entry posted by Napoleonforte, Sep 19, 2012.

So, this is my first blog and stuff.
Let's talk about DLC. I have a problem with DLC that is used to complete a game that should already be completed. For example, when 1 day DLC came out for Mass Effect 3, if you didn't but From Ashes (or whatever it's called) you didn't get Javik ( who was pretty much useless anyways) because you were told that he was an important part of the game. Now, at the time, I was willing to shell out 10 bucks, but now it's just plain mean. If you pay 60 bucks for a game, you should have the COMPLETE game. DLC should be extra crap that makes the game more enjoyable after awhile. I remember that there was this one guy on youtube who pretty much told us "the gamers" to get over how much money we pay for games and more stupid stuff came out of his mouth and I stopped listening. But he brought up some RPG that came out awhile back and he paid 100 bucks, and he said stuff. Sorry, I really didn't listen to him because he was really annoyingly stupid. Basically, he paid for a complete game, while we nowadays are paying for incomplete games. This needs to stop. Like I said before, I don't have a problem with DLC, I have a problem with DLC that I have to pay for to complete a game that should have been already completed. If you want to sell DLC like LotSB or add extra characters with witty banter and have some side quest to gain them, like Shale from DA:O then fine. But don't sell me something that should already be in the game or I'm not paying 10 bucks for it.
